JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and hospitals.
This role involves providing essential patient care, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Medical Technician will work closely with patients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other conditions requiring specialized care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active Med Tech certification (state requirements apply).
  • Current certification in CPR and first aid from a Maryland Department-approved provider, with recertification maintained per COMAR standards. Legal Information Institute
  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require specialized memory care.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation practices and proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing skills.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and families.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a respectful and dignified manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
