Description We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work in the medical department at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis, MD. Openings Available: Full-time Hybrid Shift (7a-7:30p during the week and 7p-7:30a every other weekend) Job Responsibilities: Initial intake screening on new receptions Taking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake forms Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas for the facility Performing daily medication passes. Maintaining medication records Typing of various reports, letters, and memoranda Answering telephone and process calls Maintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all times Following universal precautions at all times Maintaining a pleasant working attitude Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff. Requirements Job Requirements Must have completed an approved Certified Medication Technician program. Currently hold a Medication Technician Certification, which is valid in the state where the facility is located. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills Pleasant telephone manner Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment Working knowledge of medical terminology Can work effectively in a lock facility
Responsibilities
The Certified Medication Technician will perform initial intake screenings, take vital signs, and maintain medication records. They will also prepare examination areas and perform daily medication passes.
