Description PrimeCare Medical, Inc. (i.e., PCM) is a privately owned, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional healthcare practice. We are actively recruiting for a Part Time or Per Diem Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work in the medical department at the Washington County Detention Center in Hagerstown, MD. This part time or Per Diem position. Shift availability are 7:00am to 7:30pm or 7:00pm to 7:30am. Job Responsibilities: Initial intake screening on new receptions Taking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake forms Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas for the facility Performing daily medication passes. Maintaining medication records Typing of various reports, letters, and memoranda Answering telephone and process calls Maintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all times Following universal precautions at all times Maintaining a pleasant working attitude Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated Benefits: Hourly Base Rate is $19.50 and we offer Shift Differential in addition. Part Time PTO/Sick package provided. MDSSL accrues at a rate of one (1) hour for every thirty (30) hours of straight time worked, for a maximum annual accrual of sixty-four (64) hours. Additional Compensation: In addition to the hourly pay rate PrimeCare Medical also offers Overtime Pay, Shift Differential and Weekend Differential compensation, Premium Holiday Pay, and Employee Referral Bonus opportunities. (Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.) Requirements Job Requirements Must have completed an approved Certified Medication Technician program. Currently hold a Medication Technician Certification valid in the state where the facility is located. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills Pleasant telephone manner Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment Working knowledge of medical terminology Can work effectively in a lock facility
Responsibilities
The Certified Medication Technician will perform initial intake screenings, take vital signs, and manage medication passes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining examination areas and ensuring confidentiality of information.
