Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)! At Spring Creek Healthcare Center, we are a close-knit group where providing our residents the best care possible is our #1 priority. We care about our CNAs and want to provide opportunities for them - which is why we have a “Nursing Tuition Reimbursement” program, where you can receive up to $500 a month (pre-tax) to go to nursing school. No contract required, but we do require that you work part time or full time, and finish your first 90-days with us to be eligible for this program.
Pay Range: $17-21 an hour, depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine need
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
• Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
• Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• An active CNA Certification, in good standing, issued by the state of Utah
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc.
• Able to make decisions independently when warranted
• Knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures
• Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long term care
