Description

About Us
Keren David Consulting (KDC) is a Chicago-based boutique surrogacy consulting firm supporting international Intended Parents (IPs) through every stage of the U.S. surrogacy process. We provide end-to-end case management, coordination with fertility clinics, surrogates, and hospitals, and concierge-style services to ensure a seamless and supported journey.
We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our team as a Medical Case Manager. This unique role blends clinical expertise with case coordination, beginning at the very first stage of the surrogacy process: evaluating and medically clearing surrogate candidates.
Key Responsibilities

Surrogate Medical Clearance (First Step of the Journey)

  • Partner with fertility clinics to initiate the surrogate screening process from the start.
  • Review and evaluate surrogate candidates’ complete medical histories and OB records.
  • Coordinate required labs, diagnostic testing, and evaluations for surrogate clearance.
  • Communicate clearance progress and outcomes clearly to Intended Parents.
  • Track all steps of the clearance timeline to ensure timely readiness for treatment.

Ongoing Medical & Clinical Liaison

  • Interpret medical records, labs, and treatment updates throughout the surrogate’s journey.
  • Translate complex clinical information into clear, empathetic language for international IPs.
  • Provide guidance to surrogates on medication protocols, pregnancy milestones, and delivery preparation.
  • Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all medical-related communications.

Case Management

  • Manage assigned journeys comprehensively from surrogate clearance through delivery and postpartum.
  • Coordinate all appointments, ultrasounds, OB visits, and delivery planning.
  • Anticipate case milestones and flag risks proactively to avoid delays.

Hospital & Delivery Coordination

  • Act as primary medical contact with hospitals at the time of delivery.
  • Support IPs in navigating hospital procedures, newborn care basics, and post-birth documentation (birth certificate, passport, Social Security).
  • Collaborate with attorneys, hospital staff, and agency team to ensure seamless delivery and discharge.

Client & Surrogate Support

  • Serve as a compassionate, professional resource for both surrogates and IPs.
  • Balance advocacy for surrogates with accurate, transparent representation of IPs’ needs.
  • Provide culturally sensitive support across time zones.

Team Collaboration & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed, confidential case records in internal systems.
  • Work closely with internal agency staff, billing specialists, attorneys, and insurance brokers.
  • Draft medical summaries, reports, and updates for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Active U.S. license as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in good standing.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in midwifery, women’s health, or maternal-child health.
  • Strong knowledge of reproductive endocrinology, pregnancy, and OB care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work hybrid from the Chicago office several days per week.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with assisted reproductive technology (ART), surrogacy, or fertility medicine.
  • Familiarity with clinic protocols for surrogate screening and IVF.
  • Comfort working with international clients across cultures and time zones.
  • Additional language skills (Hebrew, Portuguese, Spanish, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Paid time off and flexible hybrid schedule (mix of office and remote).
  • Opportunity to work with international families on life-changing journeys.
  • Professional growth within a fast-expanding boutique firm.
