Job Duties Include: Assisting residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and other individual needs. Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, dental care and other needs in accordance with the resident's care plan requirements. Assisting with dining, both in the dining room and the resident’s room as appropriate. Assisting with tray set-up, assuring that food is easily accessible, assistive devices are in place, and food is arranged for visually impaired residents. Providing care that maintains each resident’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning and repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin. Making rounds with on-coming and off-going shifts, documenting care given each shift as required, and remaining knowledgeable of individual care plans. Observing residents for changes in condition or behavior and reporting these changes to the appropriate licensed nurse. Helping residents from their point of view and delivering personalized care that makes each person feel like an individual. Maintaining comfort, privacy, communication, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents. Providing compassionate senior care and supporting an environment where residents feel special, safe and secure. Understanding and practicing all aspects of residents' rights, including the maintenance of comfort, privacy, communication, and dignity in the delivery of services to them. Qualifications Education and Licenses: Clear/Active CNA license CPR Certification Physical Requirements: Able to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs independently. Able to utilize proper techniques, tools, and assistance to lift greater weights, including the human body. Able to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances. Able to turn, re-position, and assist patients to transfer and ambulate. Able to squat, crouch, and stand for long periods of time. Able to communicate effectively with Residents. All candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and a level 2 background check. EOE/M/F/D/V/SO
Responsibilities
