Job Description Bluestem Health is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team of professionals. This is a direct patient care position in a primary care office. This is a full-time position and includes insurance benefits, competitive pay, and more! Primary responsibilities include: 1. Prepare medical treatment room and set up patient care equipment. 2. Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results. 3. Keeps supplies ready by ensuring exam rooms are stocked with proper supplies. 4. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns, maintain supplies; performing preventative maintenance; and calling for repairs. 5. Maintains safe, secure and health work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. 6. Prepare patients for tests or treatments. 7. Use sanitation practices in health care settings. 8. Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests on the premises, disposing of contaminated supplies appropriately, sterilizing medical instruments, administering medication on the premises, drawing blood, preparing patients for x-rays, taking electrocardiograms, removing sutures, changing dressings, scheduling referrals/outside diagnostics/testing appointments, administering immunizations/vaccines, maintaining vaccine records, and scheduling follow-up appointments. 9. Record medical history or data, confirm purpose of visit or treatment, and verify patient information. 10. Weigh patients and take vital signs. 11. Educate patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions. 12. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. 13. Serves and protects the healthcare provider by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. 14. Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the health care team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals.
