ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Help residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence and respect. * Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and promote proper nutrition and hydration, respecting residents' right to free choice. * Participate in and initiate leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and form friendships. * Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions. * Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties. * Follow proper procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance. * Keep track of residents' locations, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located. * Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers. * Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene. * Attend all required in-service training sessions. * Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Current CNA certification. * High School diploma or GED required. * Current CPR certification. * 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail. * Understanding of HIPAA requirements. * Must pass a background check and drug screen.
