Participate in regular house meetings, share ideas, and help solve challenges together as a team. Use your cooking talents to nourish, delight, and connect with our residents. Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities while being supported by your team. Stay Attuned to Elder Well-Being Observe and report any changes in condition or behavior to the clinical team to ensure timely interventions. Monitor skin integrity, turn and reposition immobile elders, and apply moisturizers or ointments as needed to prevent pressure injuries. Respond to call bells and elder requests promptly and courteously – because every moment counts. Support Clinical and Restorative Health Take vital signs, assist with weight checks, and apply prescribed creams or treatments. Assist with restorative care activities that promote strength, mobility, and independence. Attend care team meetings and help shape personalized care strategies. Use proper lifting techniques and safety protocols to support safe mobility and transfers. Keep Learning, Growing, and Leading Complete all required training, in-services, and competencies to stay current and confident in your role. Help onboard new staff, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of support. Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Bring Joy and Engagement to Daily Life Plan and lead fun and meaningful activities – from quiet moments to lively group events. Coordinate special outings and connect elders with community groups, volunteers, and visiting programs. Contribute to the monthly activity newsletter and ensure elders are informed and involved. Be a Guardian of Rights, Safety, and Respect Understand and uphold resident rights, including freedom from abuse, neglect, or restraint. Report concerns immediately to leadership and follow established policies to ensure elder safety and protection. Practice exceptional infection control – including hand hygiene, PPE use, and safe material disposal to maintain a healthy environment for all. What You Bring to the Table Certified and Ready to Go: Valid CNA certification is required to hit the ground running. Stay Cool in Emergencies: CPR certification is preferred – it shows you’re prepared for anything. Tech Doesn’t Intimidate You: You’re confident navigating EMR/EHR systems and keeping digital records up to date. You Speak the Language of Healthcare: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and accurate clinical documentation is second nature to you. You Protect What Matters: A clear understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy is a must.
