$7,500 Sign on Bonus Facility Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Fourth Floor Job Family Nursing Support Work Shift Days (United States of America) Summary Performs basic patient care. Observes and reports abnormal occurrences or changes in patient condition. Cleans, stocks and maintains supplies for the patient unit. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Assists in the admission of patients to the unit to include orientation to the unit, hospital routine and patient care equipment Responds to the needs of patients with direct assistance when able or by reporting patient need to the appropriate person Assists with implementation of nursing care plan by carrying out delegated patient care tasks Assists in maintaining patient safety to include the proper use of equipment and supplies Access to medication/supply room to retrieve patient care items for patient care use as applicable per unit Maintains a well-stocked, clean patient environment Actively participates in cost containment and assists in accurate charging for patient services Participates in educational and Performance Improvement activities Performs additional skills, which may include, but are not limited to, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, waived lab testing per unit competency.
