A Day in the Life as a CNA in Hospice Care Every day brings meaningful moments. You’ll provide hands-on support that helps patients feel safe, comforted, and cared for. You’ll work closely with an RN, visit patients where they live, support families, and bring calm and connection to those who need it most. This is hospice work with heart , and your role makes all the difference. What You’ll Do As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will: Provide physical and personal care under RN supervision, including bathing, grooming, oral care, and skin/hair care. Perform homemaker services such as meal prep, making beds, light housekeeping, and assisting with feeding. Assist with ambulation, transfers, range-of-motion exercises, and positioning. Reinforce dressings as needed and follow all infection-control and standard precautions. Offer emotional support, compassionate listening, and reassurance to patients and families. Support the primary caregiver through instruction, guidance, and hands-on help as part of the hospice care team. Schedule & Pay Full-time position serving patients in Boone and DeKalb counties Competitive pay: $20.50–$26.37 per hour, based on experience Comprehensive benefits: medical plan options, PTO that grows with service, dental/vision, HSA/FSA, company-paid life & disability insurance, and 401(k) with match.
