JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. SKILLS

The ideal candidate should possess a combination of the following skills:

  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with various patient care settings including acute care, long-term care, hospice care, and pediatrics.
  • Proficiency in administering medications and performing basic life support (BLS).
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and catheter care when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide basic care for patients with special needs, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist in mobility by using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding patient needs and progress.
