Overview Shift: Mon- Fri between the hours of 7AM-6PM + rotating weekends Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Perform Occupational Therapy interventions in a variety of settings including: Acute Care, Transitional Care Unit, IP Acute Rehab under the instruction of the Occupational Therapist. Patient populations served include pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric. Provide patient/family education. Perform appropriate documentation in electronic medical record. Responsibilities Provide Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Adjustment of splints, therapeutic garments, and adaptive equipment. Participate in patient care conferences/ staffing as appropriate. Acute care- Complex Care meeting. Transitional Care Unit- Patient staffing. Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Occupational Therapy Assistant students as assigned by CCCE. Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions. Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. Qualifications Education: Certificate or Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current IA and IL COTA (or eligible). Current CPR certification. NBCOT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy within 60 days of hire *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. Responsibilities
