FireTron is seeking a seasoned and talented Construction Certified Payroll Administrator to support and assist our team. This position is on-site full-time located in Stafford, TX. The Construction Certified Payroll Administrator will play a critical role in supporting FireTron Inc construction projects where the payment of federal Davis-Bacon, State Prevailing wages, or local certified payroll is required. The role requires strong analytical abilities and clear, effective verbal and written communication skills. The Construction Certified Payroll Administrator reviews and prepares a multitude of documents for internal and external stakeholders that must be clear and accurate. Effective written communication with a remarkable level of attention to detail and accuracy is critical to the success of the person in the role. The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy interacting with frontline staff, leadership, and many other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Process weekly certified payroll reports for field construction employees Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with prevailing wage and public works requirements (DOL, TWC, etc.) Manage certified payroll submissions through platforms such as LCPtracker, EMars, eComply, B2G Track and resolve certified payroll rejections, errors, and compliance discrepancies within reporting Ensure accurate wage rates, classifications, fringes, and deductions Track project labor hours and ensure accurate reporting by job classification Maintain certified payroll records and support documentation for audits Coordinate with project managers and contracts team to verify job codes, hours, wages, and labor classifications Collect and review subcontractor certified payroll submissions and follow up on discrepancies Respond to payroll and compliance inquiries from internal or external teams and agencies Support internal and external payroll compliance audits Assist with general payroll and administrative duties as needed Requirements 2+ years of certified payroll experience (construction preferred) Strong understanding of prevailing wage, certified reporting and public works compliance Experience reviewing payroll data for labor classifications and prevailing wage compliance Experience reviewing subcontractor payroll documentation Experience with payroll systems and certified payroll reporting platforms (Paylocity, SFO, TechTool Operix, LCPtracker, eMars, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to meet weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Preferred Experience: Construction, or skilled trades environment Familiarity with state and federal labor compliance reporting Compensation & Benefits: Range: $25.00 – $30.00 hourly, based on experience and technical capability Performance-based bonuses (where applicable) Health, dental, vision, and 401K retirement benefits Paid time off and holidays Training and professional development opportunities
