Overview Works under the director supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, and/or the Director of Pharmacy. In accordance to standard procedures and all legal standards the technician duties include but are not limited to: the preparation of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for dispensing; use the computer operating system to generate labels; accurate post charges in the computer system; answer and direct phone calls as appropriate; replace and rotates medication stock in the pharmacy; maintain in-date medication stock; provide miscellaneous departmental support functions; provide quality patient care; make deposits; utilize cash register; file insurance claims and follow ups. Qualifications Minimum Education · High School Diploma or GED required Minimum Work Experience · Six to 12 months of pharmacy experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications · Pharmacy Tech Certification within one (1) year of hire Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: · Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written. Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as a team player as necessary. Basic Computer skills required.
