Job Details Job Location: Cullman Regional Medical Center - Cullman, AL 35056 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care Job Summary: Perform all tasks under certified pharmacy technician I level 13. Work different shifts including day, evening and/or night. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. **Ability to perform 5 out of 8 tasks below (see checklist) Demonstrate ability to retrieve and use information from Pyxis ES, trouble shoot and configure. Train new staff to compound sterile products and administer sterility testing. Provide inventory support, process invoices and order medications and supplies. Perform all tasks and staff the outpatient pharmacy. Perform all tasks relating to medication reconciliation process. Perform unit inspection for all areas that stock medications. Trouble shoot "will not scan" medications and maintain functionality and accuracy for MILT. Perform accurate record keeping and refill controlled substances. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a formal technician training program with satisfactory grades in all modules preferred. Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Experience: Six months of continuous experience in a pharmacy position with IV admixture experience. Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have the ability to read, write, prepare and interpret written instructions and make mathematical calculations. Must have effective communication skills and be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff members. Computer skills and the use of pharmacy software are preferred. Must pass the exam by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Responsibilities
Perform all tasks under certified pharmacy technician I level and support the outpatient pharmacy. Uphold patient safety and quality while training new staff and managing medication inventory.
