Description Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour (DOE) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm Location: Mesa, AZ A2Z Workforce Solutions is currently hiring for a retail pharmacy located in Mesa, AZ. Our pharmacy cares about quality customer service. We are looking for a pharmacist technician to work 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm who is a fast learner and fast, efficient worker who is reliable and able to handle and learn all tasks associated with the pharmacy. Job Responsibilities and Tasks: - Prescription Processing - Managing pharmacy staff and keeping all employees on task - Answering and calling all patients regarding prescription pickup - Filling Prescriptions - Restocking Medications - Packaging medications for delivery - Answering patient questions - Having excellent communication skills, Amazing Customer Service is Essential - Compounding Medications - Working with patients to get the cheapest price possible for them - Processing Prior Authorizations and Insurance Paperwork - Training new staff (i.e. Technician trainees, etc.) Requirements Basic Qualifications • Current pharmacist technician licensure in the state of Arizona • 1,000 hours of experience outpatient • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws. • Technician will be required to complete 2 CE hours training in remote dispensing practices before starting Preferred Qualifications • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist technician preferred in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance. Hourly Pay will be determined by prior experience. No benefits or insurance benefits are offered at this time. License/Certification: • Licensed Pharmacist Technician in the State of Arizona (Preferred)
Responsibilities
The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for prescription processing, managing pharmacy staff, and providing excellent customer service. Additional tasks include filling prescriptions, restocking medications, and training new staff.
