We’re a busy, compassionate Hematology Oncology practice seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical pharmacy setting
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Chemo mixing experience highly desirable
  • Meticulous attention to detail and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills across various roles
  • Bilingual abilities a plus

    Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Order, stock, and maintain medications and supplies
  • Prepare and mix medications under supervision of the Head Nurse
  • Serve as liaison between Physicians, Nursing, and Pharmacy Supervisor
  • Coordinate with pharmaceutical reps to obtain samples, aids, and compassionate-use medications
  • Maintain records related to drug inventory and usage
  • Safely dispose of biohazard waste
  • Perform routine stocking: IV carts, trays, flushes, Nucleus system meds
  • Monitor chemotherapy hood maintenance and safety protocols
  • Review next-day orders with nursing staff for drug availability
  • Participate in OSHA/safety meetings, staff training, and onboarding of new employees
  • Assist in training new employees as needed
  • Ensure all medications ordered are received; report discrepancies to Head Nurse or Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and practice operations
