Description Position Overview: The Valley of the Sun JCC is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Certified Pickleball Instructor to join our growing racquet sports team. This role is ideal for an instructor who is passionate about pickleball and enjoys working with players of all ages and skill levels. The instructor will be responsible for leading clinics, private lessons, and group programs while helping to grow and strengthen our vibrant pickleball community. Key Responsibilities: · Lead engaging pickleball clinics, group classes, and private lessons for beginner through advanced players · Provide clear instruction on fundamentals, strategy, rules, and skill development · Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all participants · Assist with organizing leagues, tournaments, and special pickleball events · Ensure participant safety and proper use of equipment and facilities · Support the continued growth of pickleball programming at the JCC · Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and program leadership Compensation & Benefits: · Competitive pay based on experience and program participation · Flexible scheduling · Opportunity to grow and develop pickleball programming within a thriving community About the Valley of the Sun JCC: The Valley of the Sun JCC is a vibrant community center dedicated to promoting wellness, connection, and lifelong learning through sports, fitness, culture, and community programs. Requirements Qualifications: · Current Pickleball Instructor Certification (PPR, IPTPA, or equivalent preferred) · Strong knowledge of pickleball techniques, rules, and strategies · Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred · Ability to instruct players of varying ages and skill levels · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Energetic, reliable, and community-oriented Preferred Qualifications: · Experience running clinics, leagues, or tournaments · Background in racquet sports instruction · CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
