REQUIREMENTS

  • A cover letter which explains why you think you would be the best person for this specific job.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting or recently awarded BA/BS in hard sciences (and/or pre-med prerequisites)
  • Strong interest in podiatry and hands-on patient care
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities
  • Perform debridement of toenails and calluses under direct supervision
  • Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation
  • Maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Accurately document patient encounters in the EHR
  • Participate in ongoing training in lower extremity anatomy, pathology, and procedures
  • Support the podiatrist in all aspects of patient care
  • Work toward the objective of seeing up to 4-5 patients per hour as proficiency increases
