JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ideally the candidate will have experience in Oil & Gas or at minimum a basic understanding. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate financial management.

SKILLS

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, debits & credits, and journal entries.
  • Experience with O&G Production Accounting, Oilfield Service Accounting and Oil & Gas tax laws.
  • Experience with corporate finance and private equity transactions.
  • Familiarity with wills, trusts & estate law as well as securities law is preferred.
  • Excellent financial report writing skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Solid understanding of auditing practices and financial services operations.
  • Ability to perform account analysis, payroll processing, and budget management efficiently.
