OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable CPA to join our team. As a CPA, you will assist clients with various tax and bookkeeping related matters. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to provide sound financial advice. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial statement reports and analysis.
  • Experience with double entry bookkeeping systems.
  • Excellent budgeting skills to help clients manage their finances effectively.
  • Ability to write clear and concise financial reports that convey complex information simply.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and representing them before the IRS.
  • Proficient in using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, for managing client accounts.
  • Experience with Drake software a plus
  • This is not a training position, you must be able to do tax returns for individuals and businesses on Day 1.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits for clients.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support tax positions taken on returns.
  • Assist clients with budgeting and financial report writing to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks for business clients including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, payroll, bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Online for accurate bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Manage 1-2 bookkeepers/accountants to include reviewing their work and assigning work.
