Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.  Position: Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) Department: ICSS (Integrated Community Support Specialties) Shift: Full time (Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 60 min lunch break). Weekend and nights as needed. Salary Range: $28.13 - 36.37 (hourly). We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements). This is an exempt position. Must have a Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) certification by the State of Oregon or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered. Incumbents with a history of substance use challenges must be in recovery and free of problems relating to active substance use for 2 full year preceding date of hire and must maintain this recovery. Must maintain current Oregon driver’s license as position requires the ability to drive.  Direct peer support experience in peer field preferred.   Summary: Our Team HOW Peer Support Specialists provides a variety of recovery-oriented services to individuals who have self-identified as desiring peer supports, to promote greater independence, community integration and recovery. Peer Support Specialists use a person-centered approach and their own experiences as guided by training. Model’s principles of recovery for those they work with, including gaining greater independence, emphasize wellness and self-determination.  Working conditions: This position works in an office environment as well as in the community. This position requires driving to different locations within Columbia County and some occasional driving to locations elsewhere in the Portland Metro. The Peer Support Specialist will also be available to provide services in the client's residence or location of their choosing as needed. Valid Driver's License and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Check required.
