Description
This position will be based at TUHE but may follow patients with drug and alcohol (D&A) history through their entire encounter throughout the health system. They will be an active member of the patient's treatment team. In this role, the CRS will engage patients as a peer and may interact with family members, aftercare providers and any additional outside supports. The individual in this position will lead groups, conduct individual sessions and provide a variety of supportive services related to assisting the patient through their recovery process. They will also provide support with community integration by providing resources and accompanying patients to aftercare appointments with outside providers and housing sites. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Associate's Degree Preferred Experience 1 year Minimum 18 months lived experience in D&A Recover Required 1 year prior work/volunteer experience as Recovery Specialist Preferred Licenses Cert Recovery Specialist Required
Responsibilities
The Certified Recovery Specialist will engage patients as a peer and lead groups while conducting individual sessions. They will also assist patients with community integration and accompany them to aftercare appointments.
