M-F, 8:30am-5pm. Submit your resume today. The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) provides mental health or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse recovery support to others. A person with the CRSS credential uses unique insights gained through personal recovery experience. Responsibilities of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS): Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling May assist with recreational and leisure activities Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment through CRSS principals IND1 Requirements of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS): High school diploma or G.E.D. CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) credential REQUIRED Experience working with persons with psycho-social rehabilitation services, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and/or development disorders Tolerance and compassion for adults with psychiatric disorders Albany Care is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDHP).
