Description The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide anesthesia care for same-day surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and efficient recovery. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast- paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on high patient turnover and streamlined care. Key Responsibilities: Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for outpatient procedures Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures Provide safe and efficient post-anesthesia care, ensuring timely patient recovery and discharge Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and surgical staff to maintain efficient case flow and on-time schedules Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia care and recovery expectations Respond promptly to emergencies and manage airway or anesthesia-related complications Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and outpatient surgery center policies Requirements Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CRNA certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists Minimum of 1–2 years of anesthesia experience preferred (outpatient experience a plus) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred Skills & Competencies: Strong clinical and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced setting Excellent time management and efficiency Ability to manage multiple cases and quick turnovers Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to patient-centered care and safety Work Environment: Outpatient/ambulatory surgery center Daytime hours with minimal or no overnight call Fast-paced environment with predictable case schedules and high patient volume Medical supervision practice environment Position Highlights: No overnight shifts; improved work-life balance Consistent schedule with predictable hours Collaborative and efficient team environment
