In this role, you will work rotating shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, primarily during daylight and evening hours, with schedules that may adjust based on the needs of the department. Under the guidance of our pharmacists, you will assist with the preparation, dispensing, charging, and delivery of medications, as well as support front-end pharmacy operations, serving patients of all ages with professionalism and care. Pharmacy Technician: $19.74 – $29.67/hour Certified Pharmacy Technician: $20.45 – $30.68/hour *Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on their individual experience and education. Responsibilities: Reviews, transmits, and receives wholesaler orders; maintains proper inventory and handles medication restocking. Utilizes pharmacy equipment and technology, including robotics, workflow systems, computers, printers, telephones, POS systems, and fax machines. Communicates with third-party payers to obtain prescription claim adjudications and resolves related issues. Accurately interprets and enters prescriptions, performs necessary pharmaceutical calculations, and completes required documentation for pharmacist review. Prepares and compounds medications, including solutions, creams, and ointments, and ensures proper labeling and packaging under pharmacist supervision. Provides excellent patient service by assisting at drop-off and pick-up, answering calls, screening inquiries, and updating electronic patient profiles. Collaborates with healthcare team members, including nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists, supporting patient care and medication delivery. Maintains pharmacy cleanliness, organization, safety, and regulatory compliance, including handling controlled substances and inspecting medication expiration. Participates in staff training, performance improvement initiatives, and special projects to support department growth and efficiency. Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to the mission, vision, and values of the organization while completing all assigned duties. High school diploma or equivalent. Employment experience required: Previous pharmacy technician experience and certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Bachelor's degree and certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Successfully completes all assigned annual competencies. Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained and maintained including required continuing education credits. Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred.
