Join our team supporting the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing (AGOW), and help optimize the health and operational performance of elite Airmen.
French Consulting is seeking a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to deliver mission-focused human performance support that enhances physical readiness, reduces injury risk, and strengthens the operational capabilities of U.S. Airmen.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification including AED training.
  • Experience developing and executing strength and conditioning programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform functional and biomechanical assessments and provide corrective exercise prescriptions.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening. This is a designated drug-testing position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Biomechanics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Air Force Medical Service OST operations and DoD fitness regulations (e.g., DODI 6130.03, AFI 48-101, AFI 48-123).
  • Experience supporting military units, especially in performance or rehabilitative roles.
  • Willingness to participate in USAF physical fitness assessments at the 30–39 age standard.
  • Prior experience working in rotational shifts and operational environments.

Training, Consultation, & Education

  • Provide expert-level education and instruction on strength and conditioning, human performance, injury prevention, and return-to-duty strategies.
  • Lead workshops, seminars, and briefings for unit PT leaders and commanders.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, character, and physical and mental resiliency
Responsibilities

Human Performance Optimization & Injury Prevention

  • Deliver targeted strength and conditioning support to increase Airmen’s musculoskeletal resilience, reduce injury risks, and improve return-to-duty timelines.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individual and group fitness programs tailored to occupational demands and recovery status.
  • Conduct assessments, track performance metrics, and adjust programming based on data and mission needs.

Operational Integration

  • Integrate directly into squadron environments to observe, participate in, and analyze unit activities and identify physical and ergonomic stressors.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and performance initiatives based on direct observation, medical/safety data, and collaboration with commanders and medical personnel.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to leadership regarding PT program design, risk factors, and physical readiness trends.

Training, Consultation, & Education

  • Provide expert-level education and instruction on strength and conditioning, human performance, injury prevention, and return-to-duty strategies.
  • Lead workshops, seminars, and briefings for unit PT leaders and commanders.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, character, and physical and mental resiliency.

Collaborative Performance Support

  • Partner with dietitians, physical therapists, and other support professionals to deliver holistic care and education.
  • Support compliance with DoD and Air Force fitness standards and regulations.
  • Refer Airmen with medical conditions to appropriate healthcare providers when necessary.
