Responsibilities Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies, ensuring compliance with infection control and sterilization standards before, during, and after procedures. Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons, monitor equipment, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety. Inspect, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are functional, properly sterilized, and available for use in surgeries. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology. If not a graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology, then equitable experience with documentation of similar training. Surgical technologist certification required; or obtained within 1 year of graduation or eligibility to sit for the exam. License(s)/Certification(s): CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTA or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by NCCT required; or obtained within 1year of graduation or eligibility to sit the exam.
