JOB SUMMARY:

Northside Hospital – Atlanta Campus is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Main Surgical Unit, which operates 24/7 and handles high-volume, high-acuity cases. This is a contract position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience in Neuro and Thoracic surgeries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Surgical Technologist role, with strong exposure to Neuro and Thoracic cases.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Experience working in a high-volume surgical environment.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system is required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures in the Main Surgical Unit, which sees 28–55 cases per day.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are ready and functional.
• Work closely with service lines including Orthopedics, Neurology, Urology, General Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.
