Responsibilities Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for surgical procedures, ensuring readiness and accuracy. Assist the surgical team during procedures by anticipating needs, maintaining the sterile field, and supporting patient and team safety. Obtain additional supplies and equipment during procedures as needed, while monitoring the operating room environment. Maintain adherence to infection prevention standards and Standard/Transmission-Based Precautions at all times. Support room turnover, cleaning, and equipment care to promote efficiency and workflow. Participate in skill development, team collaboration, and orientation or training of new staff or students as assigned. Qualifications Requires high school diploma or GED and graduation from a nationally accredited surgical technology program. Internal applicants, in good standing, with 3 or more year of recent operating room experience, who are eligible for certification, will be considered in place of education requirement for completion of surgical technology program. Certified through a national certifying body. Must maintain active certification throughout employment. Preferred: Associate Degree or higher encouraged.
