Consideration for this position requires the following certifications or experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of welding inspection experience with a preference of 5 or more years.
  • Current ICC Structural Steel & Welding Special Inspector OR Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test;
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Organization and multi-tasking ability.
  • A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.
  • Authorization to work in the United States

In addition to the above required certifications and experience, hiring preference will be given to those with the following certifications or experience:

  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector.
  • ASNT Nondestructive Testing (NDT) experience; minimum level II certification in ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and dye penetrant testing (PT) preferred.
  • Additional ICC Special Inspection certification

We’re looking for a welding inspection professional to join us in providing high-level inspection and testing services to our diverse client base on projects throughout Salt Lake City and the surrounding area. We need seasoned staff who are comfortable being actively engaged on construction sites performing special inspections and testing of construction materials in the field.
