Description
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Cameroon seeks to strengthen its Security Management System (SMS) in line with UNSMS and IOM global security compliance frameworks. The mission operates in a context marked by: * Increasing security risks affecting staff movements and operations, particularly in the Far North, North-West, and South-West regions * The need to reinforce security risk assessments, mitigation measures, and compliance monitoring * Strengthening internal reporting mechanisms for incident reporting, PSEAH risks, and safety observations * The importance of enhancing staff preparedness through training, information dissemination, and emergency readiness The Security team supports all IOM operations with a focus on ensuring safe, compliant, and effective programme delivery across Cameroon. It is essential to reinforce the Security Team’s analytical, reporting, and operational capacities through the engagement of additional personnel, notably via a structured internship programme, to ensure continuity of operations, strengthened oversight, and sustained compliance with UNSMS and IOM security requirements.
Responsibilities
Support the Security Team in strengthening analytical, reporting, and operational functions to ensure compliance with UNSMS and IOM security standards. Assist in monitoring security risks and enhancing staff preparedness through training and information dissemination.
