Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience.    In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who:   a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities; b) are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations and/or for whom internship is required to complete their studies; or c) are sponsored by governmental/non governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor. d) are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months. e) are between 20 and 36 years of age. Background    IOM Hungary is implementing a complex, multi-component project funded under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), aiming to enhance the social and economic inclusion of third-country nationals, with a particular focus on individuals displaced from Ukraine. The project provides integrated support through a combination of services, including housing and livelihood assistance with case management, information provision, labour market integration, MHPSS support, Hungarian language training, community programmes, and activities supporting children’s school integration. The intervention is implemented in coordination with multiple partners and service providers, following EU and national policy frameworks.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the Social Inclusion and Integration Unit with case management, labour market integration, and community programmes. Responsibilities also include coordinating language training and performing various communication-related tasks.
