IOM Indonesia is engaged in several thematic areas, including: Counter-Trafficking (CT), Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMSI), Disasters, Climate and Resilience (DCR), Immigration and Border Governance (IBG), Refugee Care, Migration Health, Migration Policy and Data Hub, and Resettlement and Voluntary Returns The Migration Health Unit works to deliver and promote comprehensive, preventive and curative health programmes that are beneficial, accessible and equitable for migrants and mobile populations in the region, through a constant coordination with the Migration Health Division. Bridging the needs of both migrants and governments in close collaboration with partners, IOM through Migration Health Unit promotes a public health approach to migrant and minority health and contribute to the physical, mental and social well-being of migrants, enabling them and host communities to achieve social and economic development. Under the direct supervision of Migration Health Physician (MHP) in Pekanbaru and overall supervision of National Migration Health Officer (NMHO) in Medan and Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) in Jakarta, the incumbent will assist in coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring of Health components at local level in close coordination with the relevant units. The incumbent is expected to carry out his/her duties in accordance with medico-legal, moral and ethical standards with due respect for gender and socio-cultural differences and human dignity of the migrants
