Description

YOUR MISSION

Dive’s platform provides engineers with a reliable tool for analyzing and optimizing complex technical systems – grounded in physical accuracy and numerical robustness.
As a QA Engineer, you play a key role in safeguarding this trust. By validating our CFD solver against meaningful industry and academic benchmarks and by advancing automated test infrastructure, you enable faster development without compromising scientific standards. This responsibility will become even more critical as we introduce mesh–particle coupling and expand our physical models to address new technical challenges.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have successfully completed a degree in engineering science, mechanical engineering, applied science, or similar.
  • You have extensive experience with CFD and practical application of various methods and numerical algorithms.
  • Your skill set includes algorithmic thinking and experience in programming with Python to develop effective automated test frameworks.
  • You have a keen eye for detail in numerical modeling, enabling you to identify the root cause of physical inaccuracies.
  • Ideally, you have practical experience in the implementation of physical models in numerical solvers.
  • You have advanced communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, present technical insights and document results accurately.

ABOUT US

We are a growing tech start-up in the field of digital product development (computer-aided engineering). Our customers are among the most renowned mechanical engineering companies in the world. Our product is based on innovative simulation methods and the latest cloud and web technologies. We have a great office in the centre of Berlin with a view over the roofs of the German capital. Our culture is ambitious, friendly and interactive.
“It’s sometimes hard, but it’s always fun.” - Johannes, CTO

Responsibilities
  • You determine the physical capabilities and constraints of our in-house CFD solver based on relevant academic and industry validation cases.
  • You formulate physical cases to test the limits of the solver for new feature development.
  • You take full ownership of end-to-end quality assurance by maintaining and enhancing Atlas, our automated validation suite, providing developers with critical insights on potential bugs, physical limitations, and solver sensitivity before new feature release.
  • You collaborate with software developers to exchange findings from simulation data and help optimize numerical models.
  • You generate data from open source CFD solvers to validate our in-house solver.
  • You document and present validations and software functionalities for stakeholders and management.
