DESIRED EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in finance or equivalent.
  • Several years of experience in qualified accounting work, including in-depth knowledge of accounting, group accounting, and IFRS.
  • Competence in economic processes, including invoice handling, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Experience in smaller companies, with a strong understanding of their operations and ability to thrive in an agile environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple companies, including handling subsidiaries in Sweden and internationally, covering legal and regulatory aspects.
  • Capability to review and optimize corporate structure to improve efficiency.
  • Experience with companies in early-stage growth phases, especially publicly listed companies and their regulatory challenges.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the company’s products and processes, adapting to new challenges effectively.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.

Episurf Medical is looking for an experienced and engaged Chief Financial Officer to lead their finance function and play a key role in driving the next phase of growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and is motivated by a high level of responsibility and impact. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to align financial strategy with business objectives, contributing directly to Episurf’s continued expansion and success.
We are looking for a candidate with solid financial expertise, strong reporting skills, and experience in both strategic and operational financial management. Previous experience in a listed company and knowledge of the medtech industry are valuable, as is a collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Head of the Finance department and line manager of the finance team.
  • Member of the management group, promoting communication and collaboration with other members to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure the high quality of monthly/annual financial statements and reports and compliance with laws, regulations, and Nasdaq requirements.
  • Provide strategic support to the CEO, including preparing materials and providing insights for presentations and investor meetings.
  • Act as Board secretary, coordinating and overseeing board-related financial reporting, including financial presentations, and documentation.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, ensuring effective utilization of financial systems (including Visma).
  • Maintain internal control processes and assist with tax-related issues and the implementation of accounting principles.
  • Manage administrative, HR, and IT tasks, ensuring smooth integration between customer systems, financial systems, and inventory management.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, Nasdaq, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
