Your tasks

• Strategic and operational overall responsibility for the areas of accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, reporting, cash management and internal control systems.
• Management and continuous development of the entire financial organization
• Stabilization and organizational development of the finance function
• Ensuring transparent, reliable and meaningful financial reporting
• Analysis of complex accounting issues and development of pragmatic and sustainable solutions.
• Professional and personal leadership, coaching and development of employees within the finance department
• Promoting an independent, solution-oriented and responsible way of working within the team
• Providing technical guidance to employees on complex accounting issues.
• Defining clear priorities, taking into account risks, urgency, and available resources.
• Managing multiple parallel topics and projects until successful implementation
• Close collaboration with management, relevant committees and overarching corporate structures
• Recording, classifying and practical local implementation of requirements from higher-level structures
• Responsibility for ensuring compliance with relevant internal control and compliance requirements.
• Application and further development of accounting according to German Commercial Code (HGB) as well as Swiss GAAP FER or international standards such as IFRS
• Support and management of process, ERP, reporting and transformation projects
• Identification of optimization potential and implementation of suitable measures to increase the efficiency of the financial organization.
• Supporting management in strategic and financial matters
• Active participation in shaping the organizational and cultural development of the finance function

Your profile

We are seeking an upright, entrepreneurial CFO with strong professional credibility, sound judgment, and pronounced conceptual strength. You combine overall financial responsibility with operational understanding, leadership skills, and the ability to sustainably stabilize and further develop a finance organization.

They have:

• Several years of management experience as CFO or in a comparable overall commercial responsibility
• Relevant professional experience in the hotel industry, travel retail, chain restaurants, transport catering or a comparable branch or location-based business model.
• Solid knowledge of accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, reporting, cash management and internal control systems.
• Excellent knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) as well as Swiss GAAP FER or an international accounting standard such as IFRS.
• Profound expertise in accounting and the ability to analyze complex issues together with the team, to identify solutions and to provide professional guidance to employees.
• Experience in stabilizing and developing financial organizations
• Experience in process, ERP, reporting or transformation projects
• Experience in working with a group, a corporate environment, or demanding shareholder or board structures.
• A strong understanding of the specific characteristics of branch- and location-based business models.
