SUMMARY: The CGI Pipeline Developer’s primary focus is workflow development and process improvements for new and existing products. This includes the development of new features and exploration of technological solutions, according to client and market needs. SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES: -Possesses a strong understanding of 3DS MAX and other 3D production software -Able to identify and improve production processes with limited predefined requirements -Strong ability to build and test variations of MediaLab products and new features -Maintains a high-level working knowledge of all technologies used by our Teams -Capable of managing projects with minor oversight, meeting delivery dates and attaining milestones in a deadline driven environment -Solves difficult problems through independent research and investigation -Has a strong level of diagnostic application/ability to determine whether issues can be “patched and repaired”, solved or discontinued -Familiar with architectural and engineering environments SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES: Software – 3DS Max, Deadline Render, AutoCAD, Revit, Blender, Adobe Suite, Unreal Engine Coding Language – Expertise in MAXScript and Python, with the ability to create, modify & debug Highly preferred languages: JS, HTML, C#, Python, C++ Prior experience with revision control systems such as Git or SVN KEY PERFORMANCE ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES: -Continually improves understanding of the production pipeline at MediaLab and executes projects according to that vision -Continually improves coding and/or software skills to stay current with technology -Creates and tests feature prototypes to fit requirements -Builds or supports building internal tools and processes related to MediaLab products -Clearly listens, understands, and executes instructions and vision set forth by leadership -Researches opportunities to improve existing tools and pipeline to support the business -Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and always works to support the team. -Always keeps in mind that focusing on client needs is the most important part of development. -Maintains a positive, professional, and productive attitude, exhibiting a sense of shared responsibility for the team’s collective project performance. -Works diligently, independently, and proactively to solve problems, exhibiting superior time management skills REPORTS: This position reports to the Production Pipeline Manager and the Director of Production WORK ENVIRONMENT: -This position requires working at a computer workstation, sitting for long periods of time, in your established home office environment. This position routinely uses a mouse, keyboard and monitors. -MediaLab will supply all hardware and software required for this position.
