Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Chair appointment in Risk Management and Insurance at the level of Full Professor or Associate Professor with Tenure. Applications are encouraged from candidates who hold a PhD in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, or a closely related field; have a strong record of research publications in top outlets and have demonstrated success teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. The appointment will commence July 1, 2026, or at a mutually agreeable date.
The Chair in Insurance and Risk Management is supported by an endowment that was established in 1991 with donations from multiple donors across the insurance and risk management industries and matching grants from the Province of Alberta.
Haskayne is the only business school in Canada that is designated a Global Centre of Insurance Excellence (GCIE). The Chair will:
