Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS POSITION:

Assisting Duties

  • Responds promptly, professionally, and courteously to patient needs
  • Prepares office for daily operations: powers on computers, stocks materials, ensures treatment areas are ready
  • Welcomes patients and prepares them for dental treatment
  • Prepares dental instruments and supplies for each specific procedure
  • Provides chairside assistance to the dentist during patient treatment
  • Sterilizes instruments according to protocol
  • Cleans and sanitizes treatment areas between each patient
  • Updates and maintains patient records (paper and digital), including treatment notes and procedure logs
  • Conducts end-of-day cleaning and maintenance of all dental areas and equipment

Office Duties

  • Organizes and tracks dental supply inventory; communicates restocking needs
  • Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of dental equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Produces, organizes, and maintains dental treatment records accurately and consistently (paper and online)
  • Initiates consent forms and verifies accuracy before procedures
  • Generates daily and monthly production reports
  • Coordinates schedules, treatment planning, and procedural needs with other MTC health clinic staff
