Airmid Healthgroup is a fast-growing biotech company focusing on improving indoor air quality by mitigating airborne contaminants (viruses, bacteria, mould and allergens). We are seeking a skilled Chamber Test Technician to evaluate air purification technologies designed to remove or destroy bioaerosols in our walk-in environmental test chambers. This role is critical to our product testing processes, ensuring accurate, reproducible results for our customers in simulated real-world conditions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS :

  • You must possess a qualification in environmental science, occupational hygiene/exposure science or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in environmental testing or product performance testing is required.
  • Hands-on experience of working in clean rooms or environmental exposure chambers would be desirable.
  • Data analysis, report writing and following SOPs are required.
  • Demonstrable experience in problem solving and critical thinking would be an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and run performance evaluations of air purification systems including HEPA filters, UV-based systems, ionizers, novel technologies or combinations thereof.
  • Handle and introduce bioaerosols (e.g. bacteria, virus, mould or particulate) into the chamber in accordance with test SOPs and biosafety requirements.
  • Utilize bioaerosol monitoring and sampling equipment such as particle counters, air-pumps, impactors, viable air samplers, and calibrate as required.
  • Assist in testing under various chamber configurations and challenge scenarios to simulate homes, hospital rooms, washrooms or HVAC systems.
  • Perform pre- and post-test chamber clean-down, following the appropriate decontamination SOP.
  • Record environmental conditions, test sample details, log testing parameters and test outcomes with precision, using lab records that align with ISO 17025, GLP, AHAM or ASHRAE standards, as required.
  • Work closely with the science team and quality lead to troubleshoot test set-ups, analyse results, and optimize testing protocols.
