YOUR NEW ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We have an opportunity for a Change and Release Coordinator to contribute to the change, configuration and release coordination of an operational IT service environment, resulting in successful establishment and sustainment of mission systems and support systems.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Coordinate and manage engineering and technical changes in alignment with ITSM Change Management processes, ensuring compliance and successful implementation.
  • Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government change control groups, to support effective change execution.
  • Facilitate and represent change & release forums, driving continuous improvement initiatives across change and release processes.
  • Oversee software asset and licence management, including distribution, auditing, renewal, and compliance for mission and support system software.
  • Maintain and update official technical data records, ensuring alignment with software rights and data schedules.
  • Support configuration management activities, including identification, documentation, and automation of configuration items across engineering and operational environments.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

  • ITIL Foundation certification with demonstrated experience in Change and Release Management, ideally within a contract-based ICT service environment.
  • Experience working in Defence or secure environments, with a solid understanding of Configuration Management Systems and CMDB tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service focus, with proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly across all levels.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy), Agile delivery platforms (e.g. Jira, Confluence), and productivity tools (e.g. MS Office, Teams).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable team player with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities, risks, and dependencies in a dynamic environment.

Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application. We’re most interested in your strengths, what you want to learn and how far you want to go.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold NV-1 security clearance.
