JOB DESCRIPTION

ING is looking for a Senior Change Manager to join COO Tech for a 6-month maternity cover. Please note: this is a temporary assignment that will not be extended.
In this role, you will help bridge the gap between ING’s central organization and the diverse Tech domains across the group. You will drive centralized improvements while ensuring that local implementations remain agile, relevant, and efficient.
The scope of the role covers ING entities, within a global environment of more than 500 professionals. The emphasis is on process change management (less on IT). You will be expected to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, where pushback is common, and ensure that critical changes are effectively implemented.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5–10 years of experience in change and delivery (Agile way of working), with a strong understanding of the tech landscape and processes.
  • Broad experience influencing and managing C-level stakeholders to drive strategic decisions.
  • Significant experience in product management.
  • Strong consultancy background, including workshops and alignment across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in large enterprise environments (financial sector experience is preferred.
  • Previous work experience at ING is a strong plus.

SKILLS

  • Strong lean, analytical, and operating model skills; affinity with IT delivery.
  • Ability to manage resistance and pushback, ensuring adoption of change.
  • High organizational sensitivity and deep understanding of ING’s structure.

  • Lead and drive change initiatives across international ING entities.
  • Engage with Tech domains across ING Group to facilitate and support their journey towards transparency and efficiency.
  • Translate and adapt organizational goals to the domain, aiming for relevant, value-added, and low-bureaucracy implementations.
  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, from engineering to senior management, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Manage resistance and pushback, securing stakeholder buy-in to ensure changes are carried through.
  • Safeguard correct implementation through the digital product data model.
  • Define products and services in collaboration with the Product Catalogue & Standards Management team.
  • Define methodology for backlog management and program steering in connection with the COO/C&T WoW central team.
  • Structure organizational delivery set-ups in collaboration with the C&T WoW central team.
  • Explore innovative tools, methods, and capabilities to accelerate delivery.
