Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Change and Transformation team at Mercer Super. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Change Lead In this newly created role, Mercer Super is seeking an experienced Change Lead to be hands-on and deliver change management activities as part of the Mercer Super Change & Transformation Function. Reporting to the Mercer Super Change & Transformation Leader, this role is responsible for leading change planning and delivery to enable successful adoption of a portfolio of initiatives (including regulatory, operational, technology and client/member-impacting change) and ensuring organisational readiness and sustainment of outcomes. We will count on you to: Apply Mercer’s Pacific Change frameworks, standards, templates and minimum deliverables to Mercer Super’s change portfolio to ensure consistent, high-quality change delivery. Establish and run portfolio-level change governance routines (e.g., change planning forums, quality reviews, stage gate inputs, reporting cadence) aligned to the broader delivery/portfolio governance. Provide portfolio-level visibility of change activity, key impacts, risks, and delivery health; ensure change plans meet agreed standards and are fit-for-purpose. Lead integrated change planning across concurrent initiatives, including dependency mapping, sequencing recommendations, and maintenance of a portfolio change calendar (releases, communications, learning, go-lives). Assess and actively manage change collisions, change saturation, and business capacity constraints; provide pragmatic options and trade-offs to support prioritisation decisions. Partner with PMO/Program and Project Leads to integrate change activities into delivery schedules, milestones, and governance, ensuring realistic timelines and resourcing for adoption. For initiatives impacting Mercer Super teams, lead change impact assessments and determine change delivery approach and resourcing in conjunction with SME teams. Define and run readiness activities and go/no-go decision support as required In conjunction with the Change & Transformation Leader, deliver organisational change activities to enable Mercer Super’s Business Transformation. What you need to have: 8–12+ years’ experience in change management, including demonstrated experience leading change across multiple concurrent initiatives (portfolio environment). Experience in financial services and/or superannuation strongly preferred, including operating within regulated and risk-focused environments. Demonstrated experience delivering organisational change (ways of working, role/leader impacts, adoption and sustainment) with measurable outcomes. Proven experience partnering with PMO/program/project teams to integrate change activities into delivery schedules, governance, and release readiness. Proven ability to apply established change methodologies and toolsets pragmatically in complex environments. Strong portfolio planning capability (dependency mapping, sequencing, change calendar management, capacity/change saturation analysis). Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels. Advanced communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills Strong capability in change impact assessment, readiness planning, go-live decision support, adoption measurement, and sustainment planning. High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and risk awareness.
