Title: Change Manager, Clinical and Primary Care Programme Location: Dunedin, or Invercargill, or Alexandra 1 FTE, fixed term for two years Change Manager, Clinical and Primary Care Programmes At WellSouth, we are shaping the future of primary and community health across Otago and Southland. We work alongside general practice, clinicians, iwi, community providers, and national partners to design services that are equitable, locally grounded, and genuinely improve health outcomes for our communities. We are now seeking an experienced and values-driven Change Manager to play a pivotal role in the co-design, development, and delivery of PHO-level initiatives and clinical programmes. This role sits at the heart of our future direction, partnering with clinical leaders, programme leads, primary care teams, and primary care in the community to translate new ideas, models of care, and strategic priorities into practical, embedded, and sustainable changes. This is a role for someone who enjoys working in complex environments, understands primary care and clinical settings, and knows that meaningful change only happens when people are involved early, listened to, and supported throughout the journey. You will lead, coordinate and communicate change activity across a range of PHO programmes, including clinical and primary care initiatives. We are looking for someone with strong experience leading or supporting change in health or social services, ideally within primary care or mental health settings. You will be comfortable building relationships, navigating different perspectives, and translating strategy into action with credibility, warmth, and clarity. An understanding of equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and person-centred approaches will be essential, as will a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for Māori, Pasifika, and our wider communities. About you - To be successful in this role you will: Tertiary qualification in health, management, psychology, or related field Recognised certification in change management, project management, or organisational development (preferred). Significant experience (minimum 7 years) in leading or supporting change within the health or social services sector, ideally in mental health or primary care. Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate co-design and collaboration. Strong understanding of primary mental health models, including the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction (IPMHA) programme.
