Description

We are looking for an experienced Change & Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases and infrastructure changes across multiple environments. The ideal candidate brings a decade of expertise in technology delivery with a strong background in DevOps practices, release orchestration, change governance, and cross-functional team leadership. You will act as a key liaison between stakeholders, product teams, development, QA, and operations to ensure successful and risk-mitigated releases.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, or Project Delivery roles.
  • Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall SDLC environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge in CI/CD, APIs, MySQL/Oracle, version control, and release automation.
  • Hands-on expertise with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Splunk, Postman, Citrix, SharePoint.
  • Experience in coordinating onshore-offshore teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, risk management, and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple releases and priorities in parallel.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end release and change management process across diverse portfolios including banking, insurance, and telecom domains.
  • Plan and manage release cycles, scheduling windows, and deployment strategies with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, development teams, QA, and business stakeholders to define release scope and milestones.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all release-related activities, facilitating clear and continuous communication.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, create mitigation plans, and conduct GO/NO GO assessments.
  • Coordinate and manage CI/CD pipelines and integrations using DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Conduct release readiness and milestone reviews, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes, runbooks, technical guides, and training materials.
  • Manage version control, configuration, and branching strategies to ensure integrity across development and production environments.
  • Oversee testing coordination including regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to deployment.
  • Implement ITIL-aligned Change Management processes, review non-CAB changes, and ensure audit compliance.
  • Analyze post-release metrics and feedback to continuously improve release quality and delivery timelines.
  • Provide real-time updates to leadership and business teams on release status, blockers, and post-deployment outcomes.
