Description:

Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world’s longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site’s audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.
Purpose of the role:
The Channel Manager will be responsible for the daily performance and management of Resident Advisor’s social media platforms. With a data-driven approach, this role requires expertise in platform optimisation and a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging content. The Channel Manager will ensure consistency, scheduling, and performance tracking across all social platforms, driving growth and engagement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Resident Advisor’s brand and growth objectives.
  • Be responsible for the OKRs and KPIs which relate to the core social channels performance and growth [IG, TT, YT]
  • Initiate innovations as well as new channel strategies.
  • Manage and organise the social team, setting priorities and maintaining a publishing schedule across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Analyse platform data and insights to inform creative decisions, optimise strategies, and produce detailed reports on content performance.
  • Ensure consistent branding, tone of voice, and design identity across all platforms.
  • Monitor platform trends, updates and best practices to keep Resident Advisor competitive.
  • Define and achieve performance benchmarks using KPIs such as engagement rates, click-through rates, audience retention, and growth.

We’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing social media channels with a significant audience.
  • Expertise in platform analytics tools and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific content strategies, particularly for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. X and Facebook.
  • Ability to craft clear, engaging, and on-brand copy, with strong attention to detail in editing and proofreading.
  • Experience managing teams, including scheduling and content planning.
  • A creative and innovative mindset with a strong sense of branding.
  • Passion for electronic music culture and familiarity with Resident Advisor’s audience is a significant advantage.
  • Enthusiasm for innovative, new channel responses.
