The Chapel Worship Leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading weekly worship for elementary-aged students at the Lower School. This role ensures that students are engaged in Christ-centered worship through music. This individual will recruit and coordinate the community of parent and staff musicians, and will meet regularly with administrators to plan services. This is a 10-month hourly-based position averaging 5-6 hours per week. Chapel responsibilities take place on Wednesday mornings from 8:00-9:15. Additional prep hours are flexible. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead weekly chapel services using a variety of music genres from known hymns to current praise songs Recruit staff and parents for worship teams (instrumental and vocal) and support them Communicate with administration, worship team members Prepare musically and adjust songs for age appropriate student vocal ranges Utilize school technology to check song lyrics and formats Benefits Weekly hourly stipend Flexibility of planning time through the week Highly collaborative environment where relationships come first Supportive administration and faculty Community of dedicated and gifted musicians Requirements Experience with, and passion for leading worship Instrumental (keyboard or guitar) and vocal skill; developed musicianship Digital competency; familiarity with Planning Center is helpful Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage and schedule volunteer musicians Ability to collaborate with administration and faculty musicians Devout Christian who is a member of, associated with, or seeking to be associated with, a Christ centered community of faith or a church
