ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy /pastoral care OR tertiary theological qualifications, with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy / pastoral care specific training
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart
  • Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church
  • Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience
  • Current ‘Working with Children Check’
  • Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings
  • Willingness to undergo a police check

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of the spiritual and pastoral needs of those living with dementia, loss, grief and bereavement, long term illness, relationship disharmony, mental health, disability, loneliness, or receiving palliative care
  • Visiting clients in homes and hospitals as appropriate

YOUR ROLE:

Based in Wagga Wagga and covers clients in the Murrumbidgee / Riverina Region.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chaplain to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of community aged care clients in this area. The Chaplain will visit clients in their homes or in hospitals, providing high-quality, person-centered chaplaincy and pastoral care that aligns with BaptistCare’s Purpose and Values.
